What is Magellan® Vampire Treatment?
Magellan® Vampire Treatment is one of the newest and most effective solutions in the fight against skin ageing. This unique FDA approved treatment uses growth factors produced by activated platelets in the blood to rejuvenate the skin in the most natural way. The most important feature that distinguishes Magellan® Vampire Treatment from other PRP procedures is the high-density PRP*, which is obtained after taking 50 ml of the patient’s own blood and waiting in a closed, sterile system, is individually adjusted according to personal needs.
*PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a platelet-rich substance obtained after a specific treatment of blood and forms the basis of plasma therapy. These are proteins with regenerative and reconstructive properties, responsible for repairing damaged tissues and activating stem cells. When present in high concentrations and administered to a specific area, they cause collagen production and therefore regenerate, reconstruct or heal that area.
How is Magellan® Vampire Treatment Applied?
The person’s own blood is used and the PRP content is adjusted in a personalised intensity according to the needs of the person. A minimum amount of blood (approximately 10 ml) is drawn into a special tube and then centrifuged. After the process, platelets are isolated in the plasma part of the blood. It is this fraction that will be injected into the superficial layers of the skin and will act according to the principle of mesotherapy. Here the platelets will stimulate cell proliferation and collagen and elastin synthesis. When growth factors are injected into the area in need, they stimulate stem cells for new cell formation. Thus, new collagen, new fibroblasts, new blood cells are released.
